Description

IIDA TN's Second Annual Cinco de CEU will be held on May 4th, 2018, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at NOI Knoxville. There will be 3 CEUs provided (see below). The cost for the event is a flat $20 for IIDA Non-Members. Free event for IIDA Members. Lunch provided. Margarita bar and social afterward from 4:00-6:00pm. RSVP by Friday, April 27th. There will be giveaways thoroughout the day! We look forward to seeing you at this awesome event!

- Course participants will learn the advantages of specifying wood veneer wallcoverings.

- Cost savings and resource conservation associated with these types of products will be outlined.

- Various wood veneer wallcovering products and their manufacturing processes and associated Architectural Grades are defined.

- Installation and finishing techniques are discussed as they relate to finished Fire Ratings.

- Comparative cost savings associated with the selection of various wood veneer products are investigated.

- Participants will be better prepared to specify suitable wood products for their interior finishes based on product construction, code compliance, cost impacts and installation requirements.

3. Innovations in Acoustical Ceilings for Today's Flexible Interiors (AIA / USGBC / IDCEC)

Understanding how to design for acoustics in today's flexible interiors takes on a new importance as traditional acoustical recommendations are not compatible with current design trends. Architects and designers are challenged with designing spaces that have multiple functions. Now the science behind the ceiling is able to provide both high sound absorption (NRC) and sound blocking (CAC) in the same panel.
