SECC Webinar: Board Committees

Board committees play an essential role in assisting the board to perform its oversight function more efficiently and effectively. Committees also help the board to achieve greater focus on dealing with critical issues that often require very specific skillsets and experience (such as overseeing financial reporting and controls, governing risks, managing board appointment, and structuring remuneration).

This webinar will provide an overview of the most common board committees, their respective roles and responsibilities. The webinar will also focus on key success factors to ensure the committee’s effectiveness – including the required knowledge, experience, and independence of its members, the committee’s dynamics and interaction with management and auditors, and its leadership.
