One Planet Educators Network (OPEN) - This is a meeting to share strategies for connecting classroom learning to community action in alignment with the 10 principles for One Planet Living.

Join us for the monthly One Planet Community Social. This is the community happy hour for friends of Sustainable North Bay and the SOMO Living Community.

Carbon Offset
DONATION - to offset our impact. Donations go to pay for food and materials for the happy hour. Proceeds will be donated to a North Bay non-profit working to reduce carbon.

Event Details

The organizing committee for Sustainable North Bay hosts a series of monthly meetings to capture input from the community and set the program direction for our events.

We invite you to join us on the first Tuesday of each month. Come for just one session or choose to spend the afternoon with us.

This is a chance to gather together with the others in the North Bay Sustainability community and explore opportunities to support local programs and organizations in their effort to transform the North Bay to a sustainable economy.

These are a once a month meetings and do not require any additional time commitment.

2:00 PM - Open Topics - schedule a session to discuss your pet project.

3:30 PM - Program Meeting - help select speakers and topics for coming events.

4:30 PM - One Planet Educators Network (OPEN) - join k-12 educators and discuss  strategies for sustainability in education

5:30 PM - One Planet Community Social - snack and beverages and topic tables to build community

6:00 PM - Community Announcements - introductions of those in the room and an opportunity to promote your causes

7:00 PM - Adjourn

The Sustainable North Bay Organizing Committee is an ad hoc committee established to convene informative interactive events that promote sustainability as a force for equitable resilient economic development. Sustainable North Bay events are produced by the Sustainable Enterprise Conference in cooperation with SOCO Nexus, Commons.org and Sonoma County GO LOCAL and hosted by Sonoma Mountain Village. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund the development of a Sustainable North Bay directory.
