Returning to in-person Meetings Safely
After recent guidance from the First Presidency, our area authorities, and stake presidency, our ward has received approval to resume in-person Sacrament meetings. We will continue every other week until further notice. For the time being, we will be meeting in the stake center to ensure that proper social distancing is maintained.
Please Note: Social Distancing and masks are required at all times on church property. This includes the parking lot, lobby, and grounds of the stake center.
Returning to in-person meetings is completely optional so if you are even slightly concerned about gathering, feel free to remain home. For all those who don’t feel comfortable returning, all in-person, non sacrament services will be streamed via Zoom and you will still be able to receive the sacrament at your homes. If you are feeling sick or are exhibiting any symptoms whatsoever, please stay home and join us virtually via Zoom.
To comply with state guidelines, attendance for our in-person Sacrament services will be limited to 87 people. There will be signs posted throughout the building clearly stating that face masks will be required before entering the building. There will also be signs posted with detailed guidance from CDC and King County regarding gathering.
Why Do I Need a Ticket to Church?
Anyone planning on attending in-person services must pre-screen before attending. To ensure that everyone who attends our in-person services pre-screens, please continue registering via Eventbrite to secure a ticket. Then, bring your ticket with you to church and present it to one of the ushers at the building’s designated entrance. You must do this every meeting you plan on attending in person. Tickets are free and a link will be provided via email and made available on the Ward’s Facebook page prior to each meeting allowing you to complete the online questionnaire to obtain a ticket.
The ticketing system is not intended to discourage or make it more difficult for you to attend our in-person services. Instead, this will allow the bishopric to control and monitor the number of individuals planning on attending our in-person services to keep the number of people attending from exceeding 87. This will also provide the bishopric with the information needed to perform contract tracing should one of our members be diagnosed with COVID-19 after attending an in-person service.
Pre-Screening
As part of your registration to obtain a ticket, you will be asked a series of questions regarding your exposure to COVID-19. These screening questions are required to answer before attending the meeting to ensure the safety of all in attendance and to assist in the logistics of preparing for the meeting.
IMPORTANT: If you or anyone in your household has been diagnosed with COVID-19, recently experienced any symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home and join us virtually. If you have experienced COVID-like symptoms or have been around someone with COVID-19, you can resume participating in in-person services only after 1) it has been 3 days since you last had a fever; AND 2) it has been 10 days since your symptoms first appeared; 3) AND all other symptoms have improved. Please note that ALL three of these must be true before you will be allowed to return.
