Hey Santa! Over 2,000 of us will be parading through the Downtown Seattle area on Saturday December 16th! Join us as we paint the town red and white! SantaCon is an annual mass gathering of people dressed in Santa Claus costumes parading publicly on streets and inside locations in cities around the world. The focus is on spontaneity and creativity, while having a good time and spreading cheer and goodwill. This is much more than a pub crawl, and every time you call it that, a sugar plum fairy dies!

1. Participate! Do something fun here!
2. Use hashtag #SeattleSantaCon and post photos on our event wall for the costume contest!
3. Registration is required to help cover our costs and support our charity of choice, Mary’s Place! (More details below)
4. Bring any new hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves to drop off and donate to Mary's Place!
5. Print your registration info or have it ready on your phone to keep things speedy.

1. My name is Santa. Your name is Santa. We are Santa. Who's in charge here? Santa!
2. Santa will bring cash and tip! No cards! No complex orders! Lines will be long, so keep it quick!
3. Wear a Santa suit! Be an elf! Or reindeer! Get in the holiday spirit. Wearing just a Santa hat with regular clothes is boring. And wear comfy shoes. Santa is covering lots of ground.
4. SantaCon is a participatory event. Entertain us! Bring something Santa will enjoy: candy, games, performances, signs, music, or a costume that will wow us!
5. Expect lines. Santa will have fun while waiting or find another spot nearby.
6. Santa obeys the law. Santa doesn't drink in public or smoke in parks.
7. Pace yourself, Santa. Know your limits. Remember to eat!
8. Santa doesn't drink and drive! Check out Migo, the free Seattle-based search app for rideshares at getmigo.com. Or ride bikes with Spin at https://www.spin.pm/. Or take a Lyft with code seattlesantacon for $50 off.
9. Santa doesn't mess with kids, the police, businesses, or Santa!
10. Use the Facebook event wall for photos and #SeattleSantaCon on Instagram.

Because we don’t have a single venue that can accommodate all of us at once, we will be doing a photo based contest this year! Want to enter yourself or someone else? Post a photo on our Facebook Event page or on Instagram with hashtag #SeattleSantaCon! After the event is over we’ll determine who the winners are. Categories are Funniest, Sexiest, Best Couple, and Best Overall. Prizes are gift certificates and grand prize is a trip to Aruba, thanks to Trinity Nightclub!

This year Seattle SantaCon will be benefiting Mary’s Place and their ‘No Child Sleeps Outside' campaign. Mary's Place is a 501(c)3 non-profit that empowers homeless women, children, and families to reclaim their lives by providing shelter, nourishment, resources, healing, and hope in a safe community. A portion of proceeds from our ticket sales will be donated, and there is a direct donation option on Eventbrite as well. Let's help bring more kids and families inside to warmth and safety this winter! Based on sales and expenses so far we can promise at least $3,000 to Mary’s Place - let's keep this up! We’re also asking people to drop off any new hats, scarves, mittens, or gloves at check-in (optional). For more info on Mary’s Place please see http://www.marysplaceseattle.org

October: Free (1,600+ registered, wow!)
November: $5 (400+ registered!)
December 1st-15th: $10 (300+ registered so far)
Day of event: $20 (we strongly encourage registering earlier than this)
Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/seattle-santacon-2017-tickets-39259225400

(Optional: save on ticket fees by sending $20 using Venmo to @SeattleSantaCon or PayPal to seattlesantas@gmail.com)
Registration is required this year (a) to help us accurately plan for capacity across our multiple venues for this growing event, (b) to help benefit a great charity, and (c) to help with our growing expenses. Yes these events used to be free, but they used to only be a fraction of the size and work too. Register and you'll get free entry to all our venues during designated times, live entertainment, and drink specials at many venues throughout the day! There will also be some giveaways during the day, and an online costume contest with great prizes!
Once registered, print out your confirmation or QR code, or have proof of purchase ready on your phone. Arrive at any time at any of our venues, and one of our team members will check you in soon! (Please do not ask bouncers or bar staff about wristbands. Just show up, come on in, enjoy yourself, and we will find you and wristband you asap!)

Facebook is our main communication channel. Please use it!
