All builders (e.g. coders, designers) are welcome.

Question 2

3 hours isn't enough to build - Can I start hacking ahead of Hack Day?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Sample prompts are released as early as Monday 3/20, giving all participants more than two weeks ahead of Hack day to write code. You can also come up with your own idea early.

The only rule is whatever you build will have to be completely rebuildable on the day of (in 3 hrs).

Question 3

What is the minimum deliverable?

Accepted Answer

Participants must produce a functional prototype by 4pm of the Hack day 4/4.

This means it has to run and it has to be novel 
i.e. it cannot be something Spice AI, Notifi, EigenLayer already does
i.e. it cannot be a wrapper around pre-existing tools

Question 4

Is there a bounty and how do you qualify?

Accepted Answer

Spice AI and Notifi have posted a combined $5K bounty.

To qualify, you only have to build upon (use or interact with) either Spice or Notifi.

Question 5

What's the recommended team size and where do I find a team ahead of time?

Accepted Answer

We recommend keeping teams lean (5-6) with no more than 8 people per team.

Question 6

What are the evaluation criteria to win prizes?

Accepted Answer

A panel of technical experts from sponsors will evaluate projects based on feasibility, level of innovation, & expected business impact.

Additional points are awarded for use of more than one of the services. I.e. the more ways you integrate, the more points awarded.

Question 7

What some sample prompt ideas I can get started with?

Accepted Answer

1. use Spice to monitor x chain for y events and send a notification/alert via Notifi if something happens
2. tool converting the value of one token to the value of another token at a given time, using spice prices API, even for pairs that are not explicitly available through the API (build a path)
