Event description

Description

Taste & See with the Nine Network and Feast TV, presented by Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC, lets you go inside the show. Taste the food and meet the people responsible for creating the dishes and drinks everyone is talking about. Two to three small food portions from up to 10 restaurants and drink vendors are included in the ticket price.

The unique format (and unique outdoor setting) intersperses segments from the show with live demonstrations and interviews, which are shown on the Public Media Common’s two-story screens.

Taste & See is a well-priced evening out on the third Friday of the month, May–September.

Tickets are $20 each or $80 for all five events. (Single-event tickets are not available until mid-April.) Tickets for last year’s Taste & See sold out quickly; don’t delay, purchase your season tickets now.

Event starts at 7:00 p.m.
Food and select beverages served from 7:00–8:30 p.m.
Music and cash bar from 7:00–10:00 p.m.

TASTE & SEE 2018

May 18 – Go South
When you want a taste of something spicy, sweet, rich and refreshing, all at the same time, head south, way south to Central, South America and the Caribbean. In our first event of the Taste & See season, we’re exploring the flavors and textures enjoyed by our southern neighbors. From tacos to plantains to tequila, join host Cat Neville and let your palate venture south.

June 15 – Farm to Table
Eating local is no longer a trend; it’s a way of life. Chefs from throughout the St. Louis region will focus on local flavors at the June Taste & See. Join host Cat Neville and meet the folks behind the farm-to-market movement and taste produce, meats and cheeses at their peak of freshness, straight from the farm to the Public Media Commons.

July 20 – Go East
The foods of Asia are vast and varied and at our July Taste & See, host Cat Neville brings you vibrant flavors from China, Korea, Japan and Vietnam. Dumplings, soups, noodle dishes and stir fries star at this mid-summer event, where the vibrant flavors of east and south Asia will be on display.

August 17 – Frozen Assets
Sweet frozen treats are a hallmark of summertime fun and this Taste & See will give you a taste of everything, from snow cones to ice cream. Host Cat Neville will take you on a tour of local frozen favorites, with a few savory dishes on offer as well. Boozy cocktails, handmade ice cream and other hot-weather favorites are sure to keep you cool on this August night.

September 21 – Wood Fired
Live-fire cooking is a growing trend. The intense heat and smoke of wood fire add dimension to even simple dishes. From barbecue to pizza to baba ganoush to pita, wood-fired fare is the perfect flavor for early fall. Join host Cat Neville for our final Taste & See of the season as she brings you flame-kissed flavors.
