Welcome to week 8 of the Summer Dinner Series!

Wow did you just luck out! If you are reading this, you have the opportunity to be a part of something really special. We know you eat and drink every day. But when was the last time you had a meal that had meaning? Can you recall a dinner that was an experience so memorable it left a lifelong impression with you? If you attended one of last year’s Summer Dinner Series events then you don’t need to read on, just scroll down and buy your tickets now, lol. For those of you who did not attend read on. Your life is about to change.

The second annual Summer Dinner Series arrives on the heels of Road Trip 2019. The Modern Eater Show hits the highways and byways and dirt roads of Colorado for a week starting June 15 to visit farms, ranches, mills, orchards, breweries, distilleries and wineries for you to enjoy at the Summer Dinner Series. Connecting Coloradans to our abundant agriculture is our mission and we won’t stop, can’t stop!

Once we return to Denver with all of the goodies we source it will be time to enjoy our spoils at the most hyperlocal series of dinners ever. The Summer Dinner Series features a different community driven chef every Tuesday night for 8 weeks starting July 2 - August 20.

Every intimate chefs table dinner will be held at Studio Kitchen Colorado - Home of The Modern Eater Network. The TME studio kitchen is an experience itself. SKC is a networking culinary incubator where dreams are born and business are highlighted and discovered. Partnering with the ACF Colorado Chefs Association the Summer Dinner Series will donate a portion of the proceeds to their apprenticeship program. Educating the future of the culinary industry is very important.

Each dinner has seating for 30 and the following is what you will enjoy!

  • Cocktail hour before dinner featuring a local distillery.
  • You have probably heard of or maybe have had a chefs table dinner? Well thats tame compared to this! The chef/s will not only be cooking in front of you but they will also inter-acting with you. Education, ingredients, demos and more.
  • 5 course seated dinner. We’ll keep you posted on menu release.
  • Every course will be paired with either a craft Colorado brewery or winery.
  • Meet some of the purveyors of the ingredients at the dinner. Have you ever had the farmer and the chef talk about what you’re eating while you’re enjoying your meal? Have you ever had the pleasure of listening to the brewer talk about their beers and why they paired them with each dinner course while you were at your table in a restaurant? I’m guessing not too many of you, but that's ok… Here is your chance.

Tuesday, July 2nd. “The Butcher and the BBQ’er!” Jason Nauret and Jeff Gebott

Just in time for the 4th of July we thought it was appropriate to kick of the Summer Dinner Series America style with a bbq and beer dinner! Renowned butcher Jason Nauret and owner of Beasts and Brews in Colorado Springs teams up with award winning chef and pit master Jeff Gebott for a finger licking, rib sticking, beer drinking ho down. The festivities will include animal butchering demo, barbecuing tips and tricks and other nerdy bbq discussions. The smokers will be rolling and the beer will be flowing! Get tickets HERE!

Tuesday, July 9th. “The Hot Shot Showdown!” Preston Phillips and Chito Arreola

In our estimation Preston and Chito are two young thoroughbred chefs at the top of our lists to watch. Coming from different backgrounds these to chefs have a creative 5 star Michelin flare and the talent to back it up. Sit back, settle in and get ready for these guy to put on a show. Expect a flavorful, well thought out menu with killer plating and presentation. We not sure what these culinary prodigies have in mind yet but whatever they come up with it will be life changing. Tuesday, July 16th. “The Dessert Doctor!” Keegan Gerhard

Internationally known pastry chef with a doctorate of baking and baking arts Keegan Gerhard makes a return visit to the Summer Dinner Series! Of course your sweet tooth is going to thank you forever when you go to this dinner but have you had chefs Keegan’s cooking? Cookin’ with Keegan is exactly what’s about to go down. Tuesday, July 23rd. “The Homeopathic Chef” Carley Smith

This dinner will probably be one of the most educational of the series. Successfully healing herself from Lyme disease, Carley was fed up with taking antibiotics for other antibiotics. Taking matters into her own hands Carley has dedicated her life to homeopathic recipes and gut health. Carly will be paired up with Field to Fork Farm in Palisade, Colorado which is the standard for community and organic farming. You will not find better ingredients then you will at this dinner and you will be amazed by the direct from farm quality flavorful produce. Tuesday, July 30th “No Dogs Allowed Dinner!” Biker Jim Pittenger

You already know Biker Jim sets the standard for delicious gourmet hot dogs but did you know his playbook spans far beyond dogs? Well, neither did we, you won't find a hot dog at this dinner. Jim loves to cook and it shows, but don’t take our word for it. Be prepared to devour a unique menu paired with funky cocktail, and capped off with a signature Biker Jim dessert. Well, all we really have to say about this dinner is, chef Brother Luck. Enough said. No really, chef Brother Luck is a Colorado hero. The respect we have for Brother is immense. Top Chef star, loving husband and community leader chef Luck continues to move the needle with his innovative recipes with an emphasis on mentorship and education. One of the most down to earth people you’ll meet, just being in the same kitchen with chef Luck is an honor and having him cook for you is just mind blowing. Tuesday, August 13th “Feasting for the Future!” ACF CCA Chefs

After reflecting on last year’s incredibly successful dinner series there was one magical dinner that stood out. 8 of the finest Colorado Chefs Association chefs reunited for a dinner that won’t be soon forgotten. The amount of talent in one room was electric. Watching these seasoned chefs collaborate and work as a team produced an array of flavorful creations left the guests speechless. The CCA chefs worked side by side with the chef apprentices harmoniously making it a pleasure to witness such leadership. If you love to eat food for a cause you will sleep well with a full belly knowing that 100% of the proceeds for this dinner benefit the ACF CCA Apprenticeship Program!
