Description
Join us for a day of workshops on teaching writing for real-world audiences. Stenhouse author Mark Overmeyer will model how to engage students in peer response modeled after a real-world writer's workshop; a panel of working professionals will capture how writing works in their respective careers; experienced teachers will explore this theme in breakout workshop sessions, including how to use real-world mentor texts in the classroom. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. (Lunch by Homegirl Industries; yum!)
