Event description

Description

Seattle Pacific Seminary is offering two unique opportunities in June for church and marketplace leaders, theology students, and seminarians in their continuing education. These courses will give today’s leaders tools to engage the challenges of the 21st Century by way of a graduate-level quality education experience. See the other course offered, “Mission & Evangelism,” here.

Monday through Friday, June 19-June 23, 9am-3:30pm
SPU Campus

Course description:

No believer in the OT Israel or in the NT church, and no believer today wakes up and decides, “Today I will begin to worship a false God!” Nevertheless, the people of God have often turned away from the worship of the one and only God. Through close engagement with a wide range of scriptural texts, this course will examine issues surrounding the nature of idolatry and the cultivation of habits and practices that lead God’s people toward whole-hearted love for God instead of toward an idolatrous life.

Taught by Dr. Stephen Fowl, Ph.D

Registration ends Monday, June 12 at 9am.
