Event description
A continuation of "Intro to Screenwriting with Caitlin Durante" that focuses on writing, workshopping, and constructive feedback.

About this event

Screenwriting Level 2: Developing Act One picks up where Intro to Screenwriting (Level 1) left off. This eight-week online course focuses on students' writing and workshops, specifically Act One of their story.

The first two weeks will involve a lecture on Act One, and the remaining six weeks of class will be made up of workshops. Students will be assigned one of two groups, and each student will have the opportunity to have their writing workshopped three times throughout the course (every other week).

The objective for the Level 2 course is for students to develop Act One of their screenplay. However, no matter what stage students are at with their story, this class will accommodate!

Fun fact: Caitlin also offers Level 3 and 4 courses, in which students write and workshop Act Two and Act Three of their scripts, respectively.

Dates: Sundays - March 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10, 24, May 1, 8 (no class April 17th)

Time: this section starts at 10am PST / 1pm EST

Length: each session is 3 hours

Location: online via Zoom

Prerequisite: Intro to Screenwriting with Caitlin Durante
