Event description

Description

In the early 70s, NYPD undercover cop Frank Serpico blew the whistle on the corruption and payoffs then rampant in the police department. The heroism that nearly cost him his life, was immortalized in the classic film Serpico starring Al Pacino. Now in the documentary Frank Serpico, Antonino D'Ambrosio presents the story of the real Serpico, who revisits his crusading cops and robbers days, and an iconoclastic life. Join us for this documentary The New Yorker called "wondrous," followed by a conversation with D'Ambrosio, its award-winning director.
