What: Screenagers film showing & conversation on raising kids in a digital world

Date: Tuesday, March 20 at 6:00pm

Location: Ordean Middle School Auditorium

Hosts: Parents and Combined PTA Organizations (Congdon Park Elem, Ordean Middle School, East High)

Cost: FREE. Please RSVP so we can gauge attendance numbers.

Screenagers is an award-winning film that probes into modern family life and depicts the sometimes messy struggles over social media, video games and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world.

Parents and their kids (suggested ages 10 and older) are invited to this free, community-wide film showing and open discussion. Drs. Ryan Goei and Aaron Boyson, both Communication Professors at the University of Minnesota Duluth with expertise in this field, and Dr. Margaret Saracino, a Pediatric Psychiatrist from the Human Development Center (HDC) in Duluth, will share thoughts prior to the film and lead an open discussion period afterward. As a committee, our goal is to foster productive conversations between adults and kids about healthy digital media use.
