About this event

Arts • Comedy

Scratching Post: Short & Steamy presents a programme of short films exploring intimacy, desire, and queer-inclusive visions of sexual expression. The selection highlights filmmakers who are pushing boundaries and opening up new ways of representing connection, power, and pleasure on screen

The programme balances playfulness with provocation, presenting stories that challenge convention while staying rooted in human experience. Some films are tender, some are thought-provoking, and others lean unapologetically into the explicitly erotic.

This is a night for film lovers, the curious, and the kinky alike. It is a space where open-minded audiences can experience stories that move, provoke, and arouse.

The venue provides a comfortable setting to enjoy the films, share a drink, and connect with others interested in cinema that explores the edges of intimacy.

Attire is flexible. Comfortable clothing is welcome, with kink-inspired details encouraged for those who feel inclined.

The evening also supports the production of our upcoming short film Scratching Post, written by Abigail Hardingham, directed by Louisa Connolly-Burnham, and produced by Rebecca Baker and Alice Duke with Cut + Roll Films and Thimble Films. By joining us, you are not only celebrating bold cinema but helping bring this new work to life.
