It is YOUR responsibility to do the preparation work.  Remember the Scout motto is "Be Prepared" and for Scoutmaster Bucky events that is not a request, that is an expectation.

It is suggested that Scouts consider using a workbook in conjunction with the Scoutmaster Bucky Class Preparation Page for this merit badge.  These have been put together to aid you in successfully making the most out of this merit badge opportunity.

Utilizing these resources will make a significant impact on the timeliness, ease, and effort required to complete this merit badge and it's requirements.  Failure to prepare properly and/or failure to utilize these resources will result in a lower effectiveness and completion rate at the class.  The objective of any Scoutmaster Bucky Merit Badge class opportunity is to aid Scouts in working towards the completion of requirements.  This approach does not focus on the completion of the merit badge, however, as it should be obvious, completion of requirements eventually leads to completion of the merit badge in its entirety.  According to the BSA Guide to Advancement, it must be understood that partial completion of the merit badge is acceptable, and only Scouts who complete all requirements to the satisfaction of the merit badge counselor will receive a completed merit badge sign off.

No guarantee is given or implied for completion of the merit badge or any of its requirements, however Scouts who are prepared and attend and participate positively and actively will be afforded the opportunity to be reviewed by the Counselor for completion of most requirements.

BE SURE TO SIGN ON 10 to 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE CLASS START TIME. TARDY ARRIVALS RISK NOT BEING ALLOWED INTO THE CLASS - BE ON TIME AND BE PREPARED. Class ending time is approximate and may vary slightly based on the dynamics of the Scouts and the counselor.

The web link will be provided 12 to 24 hours prior to the class start time via the registered email address. Please make sure you enter this information correctly, if you did not receive a confirmation email after registration, check your spam folder and/or make sure you entered your email correctly.

Scouts must be in uniform for the class.

If the Scout's BSA ID number is provided with registration, their completions will be marked off through Scoutbook. Scouts wishing to have the traditional blue card processed should forward their blue card via postal mail to:
