About this event

The new book Circularity has enjoyed a long germination as the outcome of a fruitful friendship. It twins Karen Klein's haiku with Scott Ponemone's hand-colored linocuts to create a true art piece and meditative object. After 4 short essays, it contains 15 spreads with linocuts and haiku. The production process included collaboration with a designer in Baltimore and a press in Montreal, and the result is a true heirloom of a book--an experience that will begin the night of this event and stay with you as you head out into the world.

Books will be available for sale at the event.

A retired Baltimore Sun design editor, Scott Ponemone has exhibited his artwork for over 40 years with 25 one-person exhibitions and has been awarded artist residencies in four countries as well as in the United States. Recently he has focused on printmaking for this collaboration with poet Karen Klein. His principal painting medium is watercolor. He has been awarded signature status by four watercolor societies: National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Watercolor Honor Society and Baltimore Watercolor Society. He has twice received The Maryland Individual Artist Award.
