Description

Join us for an evening with Olympus Visionary Scott Bourne at the Manatee Performing Art Center on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 7pm. This amazing photographer will be discussing his work and sources inspiration. Come with us the following day, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 7:30am for a Photo Walk with Scott at the Venice Rookery. Olympus representatives will also be on hand to demonstrate and loan out the latest Olympus cameras and lenses. The Saturday Photo Walk with Scott is a rain or shine event.

This event for all photographers regardless of experience and equipment.

FEES: Tickets for the Friday evening lecture at the Manatee Performing Art Center are $35 and must be purchased in advance, either online or by calling JPI at 941-896-9921. The Saturday morning Photo Walk is FREE, just register to get on the list. Registering for the lecture will automatically register you for the Photo Walk.

Olympus Visionary Scott Bourne is professional wildlife photographer, author and lecturer who specializes in birds. He was one of the founders of This Week In Photo, founded Photofocus.com and is co-founder of the new Photo Podcast Network (photopodcasts.com.)

He’s been involved with photography for more than four decades and his work has appeared in more than 200 publications.

In addition to being a trainer on lynda.com, he’s led workshops and seminars, taught for or spoken at conferences or events sponsored by Palm Beach Photographic Center, Cooperative Communicators of America, Apple, The National Association of Photoshop Professionals, CreativeLive.com, the National Association of Broadcasters, North American Music Merchants, MacWorld, Washington Professional Photographers Association, WPPI, PartnerCon, PPA, Seattle Art Center, Marketing Essentials International, The Consumer Electronics Show and Olympic Mountain School of Photography.

Scott was one of the first photographers ever to receive the designation Apple Certified Professional Trainer (T3) for Apple’s Aperture. He also previously held the designation Certified Adobe Photoshop Instructor and Professional Photographers of America’s Certified Professional Photographer designation.
