Description

This training will feature special topics in the field of postpartum depression and other maternal mood disorders. Keynote speaker, Hilary Waller will be discussing the concept of the holding environment and its relevance to professionals working with women experiencing post partum depression in both theraputic and non-theraputic environments. Ms Waller will also discuss methods for professionals to create judgement-free environments that assist with working with women with maternal depression and other postpartum mood disorders.

The event will also feature two special topics on the impact of maternal depression in utero and on child development and future psychopathology; and the impact of the postpartum period on intimate relationship

In the afternoon, a panel of invidiuals from a wide-range of disciplines will discuss maternal depression and the maternal mental health system in Summit County.


Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This 5 free CEU hours for the following disciplines will be provided:

  • RNs/LPNs
  • Counselor, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Psychology
