The SCL NY Song Arts Workshop is now open for submissions. Selected participants will have the opportunity to play recordings of their original work for our guest panelists, who will offer advice and feedback.
All members are welcome to attend the presentation. Participants must be SCL members.

The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Spring 2017 Song Placement Workshop - Carolyn Baron Rob Reale is the founder and president of 4 Elements Music, a production music library specializing in TV, film, advertising, trailers, and more. As a member of the Board of Directors at the Production Music Association (PMA), Rob works on behalf of composers and publishers to protect their rights. Rob continues to be a busy composer in many areas of the business, his favorite being musical theater which has garnered him a Tony nomination and untold happiness.
The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Spring 2017 Song Placement Workshop - Daniela Crudup Steven Scharf Over his four decade career in the music industry, Steven Scharf has worked in nearly every possible aspect of the business. In 1991, after nearly 20 years of working as an independent record producer and head of A&R at Private Stock Records, he launched his own management and consulting firm Steven Scharf Entertainment as a joint venture with legendary music publisher Freddy Bienstock. Through this venture Steven has managed many highly successful record producers, film composers and indie licensing. Currently serving as Sr. V.P. Creative at Carlin America, he plays a central role in their licensing operations, as well as serving as a key consultant for new signings and catalog acquisition. Steven is also a founding member and V.P. of the Music Managers Forum-US and is a proud voting
member of The Recording Academy.

The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Spring 2017 Song Placement Workshop - Peter BlissElizabeth Rose Elizabeth Rose's songs have appeared in film, tv and theatre. Relative Pitch, her one-woman musical comedy was produced Off Broadway by the Cherry Lane Theatre's Mentor Project. Her music videos have been honored in the US and Ireland. Yo Miz!, her first book, garnered three awards in 2016. Fav gig: singing the national anthem at a METS game. Rose serves on the SCL Board of Directors and the NYSCL Steering Committee.
The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Spring 2017 Song Placement Workshop - Adonis Tsilimparis Adonis Tsilimparis is a born and raised New York City composer. He began studying guitar and piano at age 11. After graduating from college, he played in several pop and rock bands as a lead guitarist and singer. He became a staff writer at commercial jingle house called Fearless Music, where he wrote and performed countless commercial ads. He continued to write there for several years before expanding to compose music for other film and TV Projects. He has composed music for TV’s ‘Guiding Light’, ‘All My Children’, ‘CSI:NY’, ‘NCIS’, and numerous reality shows on the E Network, and A&E Network. He has also written music for cable shows and several indie films. Recent film credits include "Dementia 13", "Naked As We Came" and "Wife Missing".
