Allyson Byrd holds a PhD in bioinformatics from the Boston University - National Institutes of Health (NIH) graduate partnership program. At the NIH, she works on a collaborative project between the National Human Genome Research Institute and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease. Allyson's work focuses on the microbes (bacteria, fungi, and viruses) that inhabit different skin sites in health and disease.
