Scientist Meet & Greet
Sun, October 23, 2016, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
What do scientists do all day? What type of jobs can I get with a science degree? Do I have to work in a laboratory all day? Sit down with a scientist and allow them to share their experiences with you as you explore these questions and more in our monthly program!
Gaelle Gourmelon, MPH, Communications and Marketing Director, Worldwatch Institute
Gaelle Gourmelon is the Marketing and Communications Director at the Worldwatch Institute. Prior to joining Worldwatch, Gaelle was a fellow hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development. There, she worked to increase public access to environmental and human health data through EPA’s 2014 Report on the Environment website. From 2010 to 2012, Gaelle served as a research assistant at the Center for Global Safe Water, working to reduce environmental and social burdens in Latino communities and on farms.
Gaelle holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MPH in Global Environmental Health from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. She focused on issues surrounding wildlife conservation, then on the impacts of green space in urban environments.
