Event description

Description

Science is complex and dynamic, and it affects all of us. Yet it is often conveyed in academic and technical ways that don’t speak to everyday people. This year’s Science to Policy Summit will explore how we can communicate technical information and science in ways that relate to people’s lives and values. Join us to learn tools and techniques to reach a broader community.

Our expert panel includes The Honorable Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR); Janine Castro, US Fish and Wildlife Service & National Marine Fisheries Service; Susan Holveck, Beaverton School District and immediate past-president of the Oregon Science Teachers Association; and Kim Erion, owner, LKE Corporation. Representatives from Media, Marketing, and Government Agencies will be announced soon.

Lunch and coffee is included.
