Science Shaping Our World-SHOW is an ongoing seminar and networking series that highlights cutting edge translational life science research and development. Our mission is to bring together a multidisciplinary audience spanning academia and industry providing exposure and insight into the life science advancements changing our world. In order to help our participants make the most of the SHOW’s networking opportunities; we routinely offer workshops focusing on enriching their networking style.
In this workshop participants will learn to extract the most value from their work related communications, job interviews everyday conversations. In this interactive workshop, they will learn to identify their communication style, understand other communication styles, and learn to recognize the communication style of the person with whom they are speaking. These skills will help participants to have more effective and productive conversations leading to less miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Leading our special workshop event will be Sarah Cardozo Duncan, owner of the consulting firm Career Strategists. Sarah draws on over twenty years of recruitment and career development experience to help clients define new or existing career paths as well as helps them successfully navigate within existing positions. Sarah is an accomplished and highly regarded speaker and workshop leader and an active networker, holding leadership positions in organizations such as WEST, Mass Gap, AWIS, South Shore Chamber, and The Alliance, among others. In 2003, Boston Magazine recognized Sarah as one of Boston’s 100 most powerful women.
