Science of Healthy Eating
Join the Junior League of Ann Arbor for an evening workshop, “The Science of Healthy Eating” as part of the Kids in the Kitchen program. Do science experiments to learn about how we digest food, make a nutritious snack, and play games to learn about the science of healthy eating.
Workshop is 50 minutes and is for students entering grades 1-5. Cost is free to members and $5 for non-members. Preregistration is required. Participants under the age of 12 must have an adult remain in the building.
One adult Museum admission is included in the price of the workshop. All others must pay admission to the Museum.
Kids in the Kitchen is a national Junior League program that addresses the growing issues of childhood obesity and malnutrition. Designed for young audiences, Kids in the Kitchen events promote healthy eating habits, nutrition awareness, and the importance of daily exercise through hands-on activities and interactive discussions.
