The Science of a Happy Mind is an introductory course that blends teachings from both positive psychology research as well as ancient wisdom from the yoga tradition. It’s purpose is to help systematically identify and nullify negative thought patterns and replace them with tested alternatives that can lead to sustainable happiness and well-being.
Topics covered in this course include the meaning of happiness, compassion, social connection, cooperation, meditation, mindfulness, gratitude and humility. We will review scientific research around each topic and learn tools to apply positive practices in our daily life. Group discussions and exercises are aimed to discover the connection between personal fulfillment and our spiritual development.
