Event description

Description

UPDATE: Rt Hon. David Willetts, former Science Minister, will provide the opening keynote giving his view on the public funding of science in the UK.

Science is as vital as ever. A pro-Brexit result in the referendum, a government and parliament in flux, and the restructuring of the research councils all pose threats. Come to our AGM to help us launch the next chapter in the campaign to protect and promote research in the UK.

We’d love to see you at the AGM. A small number of volunteers run Science is Vital. We need help: to analyse data, to write campaign material, to run our website, to design posters. There will be Executive vacancies to fill, and we are excited about bringing new blood and fresh ideas on board.

We will also aim to make the event available online for those unable to get to London. Follow us on facebook or twitter (@ScienceIsVital) for updates.
