Event description

Description

In this month's science class in partnership with Pacific Science Center, we are diving into the world inside of that mind of yours with "Pain the Brain" a Neurological Perspective on Mental Health.

In this interactive beginners workshop we will introduce the basics neuroscience and explore the underlying cellular dysfunction that occurs during mental health disorders, focusing on anxiety and depression.

Dr. Atom, Ph.D. Neuroscience, is a neuroscientist, educator, activist, and science entertainer (Atomicbrains.org). Atom has a passion for the Scientific Method and love demystifying science in a way that makes it accessible for all people.

A special thanks to the Pacific Science Center for helping co-create this fun new series, and as always, a thank you to our media partner, The Evergrey, for being an amazing resource in making Seattle a stronger community.
