Event Details

When school is out on select days, the farm is open. Let MARC's talented team of educators engage your children in hands-on experiential learning, games and crafts - all with agricultural themes.

General Information for School's Day Out Camps:

9:00-3:00 $50 (after care available $10/hr/child till 5pm) 

We are happy to provide after care until 5:00pm but will charge $5.00  per minute after 5:00pm.


NOTE: Sibling discount $10

Ages: 1st - 5th grades

Here is what to expect:
Children will be engaged in hands-on, experiential learning in a farm setting. Each camp day will feature a different farming theme. Lessons, games, and crafts will relate to the theme.

Lunch - everyone brings a nut-free lunch.

October Camp will take place in an un-heated barn. Children should dress for the weather and be prepared to spend a majority of the day out of doors.

The Maryland Agricultural Resource Council

The Maryland Agricultural Resource Council is organized for the benefit of the citizens of Maryland to enhance the rural economy and to foster conservation of agricultural and natural resources through educational and technical services by:

Providing life-long learning opportunities for current and prospective farmers and agribusinesses through seminars, activities, continuing education programs, curriculum-based partnerships with schools, colleges, and universities as well as mentoring opportunities with successful farmers:

Supportting rural economic growth in Maryland through agriculture and related fields that is consistent with local and statewide natural resource protection and farmland conservation goals;

Promoting citizen understanding of and appreciation for agricultural businesses and their impact on the lives of all people and the environment in which they live with a focus on the Chesapeake Bay watershed: and

Helping children and families of diverse backgrounds develop a personal connection to agriculture through tangible, hands-on experiences.
