Pre-Expo Preparation
Stuff bags, collate registration information, label books for kids, and other light preparations for the Expo. Duties can be performed on any day(s) of the week prior to Expo (Feb. 9th - Feb. 15th).

Phase I Movers
Assist in transporting boxes and supplies from Urban League office to the Superdome. Volunteers must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Males preferred. Activities performed the day before, morning of, and after Expo. Lunch provided.

Phase II Movers
Assist in transporting boxes/ supplies from storage vehicles into the Superdome and place items in the assigned area throughout the venue. Volunteers must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Males preferred. Activities performed the day before, morning of, and after Expo. Lunch provided.

School and Organization Check-in
Greet and assist schools and organizations with gaining entrance into the Expo and direct them to their assigned areas.

Entrance and Registration
Assist families with gaining entrance to Expo, including managing orientation sessions, collecting registration forms, distributing meal tickets and wristbands for Expo admission. Must be 18 years or older and have basic computer skills.

Greeters/Floaters
Welcome families into the Superdome, provide direction to and/or from orientation/registration area, direct families throughout the Expo, and answer questions about various Expo activities.

Childcare Room
The childcare room offers a safe environment where parents can leave their children for a maximum of 2 hours to navigate the Expo with no distractions. Volunteer duties include: monitor kids ages 3+, provide kid-friendly activities, maintain attendance records, and work with licensed childcare providers to ensure children's safety, take care of them, and oversee activities.

Performance Coordinator
Check in performers, coordinate performances, introduce and transition performances to audience via microphone system, and monitor line/crowd control. Volunteers comfortable with public speaking preferred.

School Choice Specialists
Assist families in answering questions about education and the school choice system in New Orleans. Also help families with completing OneApp and other school applications, both paper and online format. Volunteers must be at least 18 years and have basic computer / Internet skills.

Kid Activities
Oversee the arts and crafts table, monitor kid activities, replenish supplies, assist kids with simple projects.

School Supply and Uniform Voucher Giveaway
Volunteers are responsible for ensuring families receive school supplies and uniform vouchers. Duties include: collect parent surveys; ensure passports are complete; distribute backpacks, school supplies, and uniform vouchers; monitor lines and crowd control. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
