School Site Plans: Mapping a Course of Continuous Improvement for All Students

 

Develop data-driven school plans that align with LCAP goals!

 

This workshop addresses state and federal school site plan requirements and compliance updates; model site plan templates; stakeholder input; the California School Dashboard, local data collection and analysis; identification of greatest areas of need, goals and aligned actions; budget implications and progress-monitoring. The development of data-grounded school plans that align with and inform LEA planning efforts is emphasized.

 


 

Instructors:

 

Robin Hall

Executive Director, Regional System of District and School Support, Region 4

 

Dr. Robin Hall has served as Executive Director of the Regional System of District & School Support, Region 4, since 2001. Prior to her leadership of R4SDSS, she was a classroom teacher for twenty years, worked as a site – and district-level administrator, and provided accountability and categorical program guidance and assistance at the county office level.  She earned a M.S. in Educational Leadership at CSU East Bay, and in 2005, after completing a dissertation on the impact of publicly-funded intervention and support programs on low-performing schools, earned an Ed.D. at St. Mary’s College.

 

 

 

Kelly Wylie

Program Director, Regional System of District and School Support, Region 4

 

Kelly Wylie, Region 4 System of District and School Support Program Director, is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience. Prior to her work at R4SDSS, Kelly had been a middle school administrator, an instructional coach and a classroom teacher. She provides expert practitioner technical assistance in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, Accountability, Multi-tiered System of Supports and ESSA; having presented at the national, state and local levels.




Objectives:

 

  • Participants are provided accountability updates that are relevant to school site plan development
  • Participants will learn how to analyze and collect data using dashboards, stakeholder surveys, and other recommended school and district self-assessment and progress-monitoring tools
  • Participants will learn to identify greatest areas of need, establish goals and write actions aligned to LCAP goals
  • Participants will rehearse the use of SPSA template options

When is the event?

There are 2 opportunities for you to attend this training. The following dates are:

All trainings will take place from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.


Where is the event?

All trainings will be held at the Alameda County Office of Education located at 313 West Winton Ave, Hayward, CA 94544.


What can/ can't I bring to the event?

Laptops are highly recommended for all of our workshops. Many of the resources offered are digital.

Region 4, System of District and School Support

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 requires each state to establish a statewide system of intensive and sustained support and improvement for local education agencies and schools receiving Title I funding to increase opportunities for all students to meet state academic content and achievement standards. As a result, the Regional System of District and School Support (RSDSS) was established, and partners with the California Department of Education (CDE), the Comprehensive Assistance Center, and county offices of education to form the Statewide System of School Support (S4) and satisfy the requirements of NCLB. The RSDSS of Region 4 provides leadership, resources, and technical assistance to the schools, districts, and county offices of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo and Solano in order to increase their collective capacity to support students in meeting or exceeding the state's academic content standards.

Cancellation Policy: Registrations cancelled seven (7) working days or less prior to the workshop are assessed the full charge of the registration.  If the registration is cancelled eight (8) to fifteen (15) working days prior to the workshop, a fifty percent charge is assessed.  If the registration is cancelled sixteen (16) or more working days prior to the workshop, a full refund is given. ***RSDSS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule our trainings as necessary***
