Description

The film chosen for the January film club is about a child who was assigned male at birth and is seen by their family and community as a boy, but consistently presents as a girl. This 1997 Belgium drama was winner of a Golden Globe.

The Film will be shown in French with English Subtitles

After watching the film, Rosa Benato will lead the discussion about the film. Rosa is a senior lecturer in health management and author on gender and popular culture. She is the chair of the school's Community Engagement Committee. We welcome participation in the film club of community members interested in discussing issues of health and gender who would like to come along to the film.

This screening is for an educational audience of staff, students and other persons directly connected with the activities of the School of Health Sciences, City, University of London.
