A workshop for current and prospective School Maker Faire Producers.


Workshop fee includes

  • special admission to FRIDAY@MakerFaire (must arrive by 10 am for the workshop)
  • day pass to Maker Faire Bay Area (distributed at the workshop)
  • lunch (be sure to tell us any food restrictions in registration)
  • printed materials and souvenirs

 

Schedule will include:

  • Meet & Greet with other School Maker Faire organizers
  • What is Maker Faire — and "selling" the idea to others
  • Guidelines overview
  • Your Call for Makers — for students, clubs, teachers, parent and community makers
  • Great ideas for hands-on making at the Faire 
  • Tips on logistics 
  • Telling the story

Workshop concludes with entry to FRIDAY@MakerFaire, 1-5pm. Attendees may then join a "backstage" tour of Maker Faire at 4pm (to be confirmed day-of workshop; will be joining the global group of Maker Faire Producers.)
