School governors - Handling complaints from parents and others

This session will give governors an insight into the schools responsibility in handling complaints from parents and others and to define the responsibility of governors within the schools complaints procedure. It will seek to clarify what a complaint is and is not; establish the different remits of the school and the governing body and discuss best practice in managing an appeals meeting where this becomes necessary.
This training session is free of charge to governors whose governing body purchases a training subscription with either Kent or Medway Governor Services. Other governors are welcome to attend at a cost of £105 which is charged to their school
