Event description

Description

Scholastic 3D Archery (S3DA) is an afterschool initiative that can be run by schools, archery shops, and archery clubs. Students do not need any prior experience with archery to join S3DA. Students are encouraged to use their own archery equipment but for students that do not have their own equipment, may use one of the club's compound bows for an additional fee. Classes are open to students in the 3rd grade through 12th grade.

This 10 week program will teach the archer the basics of outdoor target archery, individual goal setting and getting ready for a competition and will take place on WMAC's outdoor target range. (NOTE: This is a different focus than the previous 10 week program, which focuses on 3D archery.)

Sessions begin July 17, 2017 and will meet each Monday from 5:00 - 7:00pm for 10 weeks (through September 18).

Participants should come to class prepared for outdoor shooting on the outdoor target archery range with appropriate clothing, including close-toed shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather conditions. Archers may want to bring insect repellent.

There is an annual registration fee to participate in the Scholastic 3D Archery National Program of $30. This is NOT included in the cost of this class, and needs to be paid once per year for participation in any of the S3DA programs.
