Event description

Description

Rutgers' annual symposium, “Scholarship, Research, and Best Practices in Diversity & Inclusion: Exploring Current Findings and Pursuing New Pathways.” The objective of the symposium is to provide a venue for researchers to present findings of studies and increase awareness of new approaches in research, emerging methods, and innovative strategies in diversity and inclusion. The symposium provides an important vehicle for the exchange of ideas and highlights the scholarly research of our faculty, graduate students, and associates from all campus locations.

We are honored to have as keynote speaker, John Kuo Wei (Jack) Tchen, newly appointed Inaugural Clement A. Price Chair in Public History and the Humanities, and Director of the Clement A. Price Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience. He is a renowned scholar, historian, curator, and cultural organizer. He co-founded the Museum of Chinese in America in New York City, where he continues to serve as a senior historian, and has been building research collections of Asians in the Americas for more than three decades.

The symposium will be held on Thursday, April 4th from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room, College Avenue Student Center in New Brunswick. The program is open to all Rutgers faculty and advanced graduate students. Seating is limited, so please register early. This event will be available via Livestream.
