Join NSHSS members, families, educators, and partners this summer in Washington, D.C. for a two-day educational conference. This event will feature several workshops, a college and career fair, and countless networking opportunities. At Scholar's Day, you and your family will learn more about all of the benefits of your NSHSS membership including $2 million in scholarship opportunities yearly, access to an extensive network of university, educational, corporate, and government partners, and, of course, the lifetime network of fellow NSHSS members.

SCHOLAR'S DAY IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Seating is limited, so it is recommended that you register as soon as possible. Registration will close once we reach full capacity, at which point, we will no longer accept registrations. We recommend securing your event tickets before you book your hotel or travel arrangements.

**Only those who register via Eventbrite will be admitted to the event.

***Registration fees are nonrefundable, however, you have the option to transfer your registrations to an NSHSS Member Event or equal or lesser ticket price within a calendar year of purchase.

Scholar’s Day D.C. 2021 will kick off with a welcome message from NSHSS President and Co-Founder Mr. James Lewis, followed by event announcements and more.

2:30-3:15 PM What Students and Parents Should Know About the ACT and SAT in College, Presented by Method Learning

This session will explain the differences, similarities, and features of the ACT and the SAT, and will also discuss how the tests are used in college admissions. It will convey useful tips that students should know to prepare for the tests, including a demonstration of Method Learning's self-paced online test prep program, available to NSHSS students, and will conclude with a question and answer period.

3:15-5:00 PM College and Career Fair

Meet and explore opportunities with corporate, educational, and government leaders from renowned organizations and universities from around the globe.

3:15-5:00 PM Pop Up Store

5:00-5:45 PM Student Opportunities Workshop Presented by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

Entertainment: Marvillous Beats

Marvillous Beats is a Bronx, New York-born violinists, composer, actor, and audio engineer. He has produced songs for Interscope Records recording artist Tony Lanez and has performed live with Every Blue Moon’s recording artist Wale, RCA Records recording artist Goldlink on NPR Tiny Desk, and 86 America’s LightShow. You won’t want to miss his amazing performance!

3:00-4:00 PM Closing Keynote – It Only Takes One, Kyle Scheele

Is it possible for one person to change the world? In this talk, Kyle Scheele shows that not only is it POSSIBLE, it's actually the only way that real, lasting change happens.

4:00-5:30 PM Member Recognition Ceremony

Hear final thoughts of inspiration from closing speakers. All members will receive an honor medallion for their academic achievements.

Since 2002, the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) has been supporting young academics on their journey to college and beyond as they prepare to become the leaders of tomorrow. Co-founded by the great-nephew of Alfred Nobel, NSHSS is inspired by the mission of the Nobel Prize to support academic achievement and world betterment.
