Description
To all our Scentsy Con friends, It is with a great amount of sadness that we have to cancel Scentsy Con for September 25, 2020. (See my notes below for the process behind our decision.)*
We have set a tentative date of May 7, 2021 for next year’s Scentsy Con, and will notify you when we get a solid commitment on the date.
We want to thank everyone who planned on attending. Your generous support, every year is so greatly appreciated.
We are extremely sorry things went the way it has , but Scentsy, our character actor partners, and our tech booth partners are committed to bringing you a great event next May.
*When making this decision we had to take into consideration the following:
1)What will the local government allow us to do?
Considering local restriction mandates, campus lockdown, and the general uncertainty.
2)If we build it, will people come?
I’ve been watching to see how area schools plan on opening and to get an idea how parents felt about their kids being around large groups. Last year we had over 1000 persons, in the Scentsy Commons, in a 3 hour period. That’s a pretty large gathering.
3) Will there sufficient volunteers available to help?
A lot of Scentsy Con volunteers are working from home now, and some are students. Last year we had close to 70 volunteers helping out, and we were short-handed. I don’t feel we’d get close to that amount, since I can’t beg them in person.
4)Will booth participants still be able to participate?
The few I have talked to said they were ready to be here.
I
