SCENEfest II Celebrates “TEXAS INDIE”
A Showcase of the Creative and Independent Spirit of
Dining, Music, Art & Beer in the Waterfront Capital of Texas
Thursday, November 14, 2013 (5 to 9 p.m.)
at Clear Lake Park’s Landolt Pavilion
On Thursday, November 14 (5 to 9 p.m.), The SCENE Magazine will once again transform Clear Lake Park’s Landolt Pavilion into a celebration of the best of independently-owned dining, original music, local art, and Texas craft beer. Plus, there will be more than a few surprises mixed in to add to the entertainment experience as expected from a SCENE-hosted event.
SCENE FEST is an annual showcase of creative excellence and independent spirit that makes this waterfront community a great entertainment destination to visit for those not luckily enough to live and work here. This event is open to the public and is a celebration of what SCENE readers love: Food, local live music, art, adult beverages and being “seen out on The SCENE.” This will be THE “After-Work” event of the season!
A limited number of restaurants will give away food tastings starting at 5:30 (until they run out). So arrive early. Some of Texas' finest crafts will be available for purchase in the Craft Beer Garden, sponsored by The Cock & Bull British Pub. Four up-and-coming local bands will perform original music on the main Texas Indie Stage. (Guests are invited to sit in the grass or bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music.) In additon, talented local musicians will entertain guests with acoustic sets on the pavilion’s Norman Frede Chevrolet Songwriter Showcase Stage. Vendor booths will provide a fun shopping experience or showcase useful services for SCENE FEST guests.
Sponsors of the event include Norman Frede Chevrolet, The Cock & Bull British Pub (Beer Garden Sponsor), Cabo Clear Lake (After-Party Host), Sherlock's Baker Street Pub, Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack, Tookie’s Seafood, Jackie's Brickhouse, Latitudes Restaurant, Noah's Ark, Mainly Drinks, The Herb Cafe, Claudio's International Signature Bistro, Center Court Pizza, Bakkhus Taverna, Skallywag, SignQuick, Railean Rum & Galactic Coast Brewing Company.
Kicking it off on the Texas Indie Stage will be bands Southbound, Cassette Tape and Fox & Cats. Headlining is veteran SCENE FEST band Mama Tried. Following the close of SCENE FEST, make the short drive down NASA Parkway to the Official SCENE FEST After-Party overlooking Clear Lake at Cabo. Enjoy live music by Obsolete August, drink specials and mingle with vendors, musicians and volunteers who helped put on the event.
Booth spaces and sponsorships for any size budget are still available, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information.

This music and culinary affair is brought to you by SCENE Events! From pub crawls and bikini contests to fundraisers benefitting local musicians in need, The SCENE has thrown, hosted and sponsored hundreds of events of all sizes. But there is only one SCENE FEST.
Last year, this inaugural event marked the 10th anniversary of the locally and independently-owned SCENE Magazine, which supports and promotes local dining, events, non-profits, nightlife, live music and spirits in Houston’s most dynamic community, often referred to as the Jewel of Houston, Waterfront Capital of Texas and the home of Manned Space Flight and Mission Control.
