What Makes a Good Collaborator?

Scene Study for Collaborators is a 12 week course for multi-hyphenate (and multi-hyphenate curious!) theatre artists looking for a supportive space to explore outside their comfort zone while reinforcing skill sets that are useful across all disciplines. Artists are invited to stretch in their own discipline or try another as we focus on the key elements that make good collaboration possible: Self-Awareness, Self-Trust, Listening, and Non-Judgmental Responsiveness.

Scene Study for Collaborators will be held in person at Theatre Row Rehearsal Studios

Sundays from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

March 5, 12, 19, 26

April 2, 16, 23, 30

May 7, 14, 21 and 28

Each session will feature individual and group explorations and skill building as well as an active scene study that will require as much from the viewers as the participants. Attendance and punctuality matter. Outside rehearsals will be a requirement of the class.

Bree O'Connor is a co-founder and producing Artistic Director of Playful Substance, a New York based theatre company focusing on new works. Bree has over 30 years of experience as an actor, writer, director, producer, teaching artist , acting and development coach, and mom.

* Classes must be paid in FULL by March 5, 2023 ($600)

OR

Paid in monthly installments ($200 per month) Due by March 5, April 2 and May 7. Those who choose monthly installments will receive email reminders on March 20 and April 20 to fulfill their payment obligation.
