Show off your photographic skills for a chance to win a Lytro camera and $500 in the Scene at SouthBy Light Field Photography Contest.
Borrow* a Lytro camera or bring your own. We'll provide a light field lesson then set you loose at SXSW 2013.
Register: RSVP for a lesson at the day and time when you would like to borrow a camera, or bring your own camera. Registration requires a Lytro username, which you can get for free at https://www.lytro.com/users/sign_up. Early registration is suggested as supplies of loaner cameras are limited. Maximum one session per person.
Win: Share your best living pictures on Twitter with link http://lytro.com/sxsw and hashtag #SXSW. Two Finalists who are selected by our judges each day will win a Lytro camera. A $500 Grand Prize winner will be chosen from among the Finalists at 5pm on Monday, March 11, based on "applause-o-meter" feedback during PhotoCamp.

* To guarantee use of a Lytro camera, you must provide a valid credit card. You will not be charged for borrowing a camera. Only if you fail to return the camera by the scheduled time, will your credit card be charged $431.92 and you will own the camera. We will email you prior to SXSW with additional instructions to securely provide your credit card information.

Light field innovation enables unprecedented capabilities, including the ability to focus after a picture is taken, remarkable low-light sensitivity, and 3D viewing.
The company was founded in 2006 by Executive Chairman Dr. Ren Ng, whose research in light field photography won best PhD dissertation in computer science at Stanford in 2006 as well as the internationally recognized ACM award.
