FORUM on Scandinavian Visions: Plays, Im/migrants & Class in a Changing Europe as part of Borders & Their Shadows, a festival of plays on International Themes.

Moderated by Linda Zachrison (Cultural Counselor, Embassy of Sweden,) this panel will feature Professor Sherry Linkon (Georgetown University, English Dept.) director Hiilka-Liisa Iivanainen, and Karin Henriksson (journalist and Washington correspondent for Svenska Dagbladet newspaper).

After the forum, grab a ticket to the 3pm play reading of Torgus and Snow by Christine Evans. Ticket registration for play-reading HERE or for the 7:15pm presentation of The Woman Who Turned into a Tree by Lisa Langseth HERE.

The Border & Their Shadows Festival features free Concert Readings of new plays by women writing across international borders, amplified by special forums with the Playwrights, Georgetown Faculty, and Activists, offering imaginative entry points to the cascading human and social consequences of forced migration. Play Readings, featuring Students & Guests, Interact with Forums involving International Artists & Scholars Sept. 19-22.

The Festival is generously funded by the College Dean's Office for TPST's Home Season in the Davis Center, Georgetown's Global Humanities Initiative, and the Embassy of Sweden, with co-sponsorship by the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
