Let’s Celebrate Lucia with a concert in church. After the concert we will serve Lucia Fika (refreshments) while listening to Scandinavian Christmas music. Santa will visit while we dance around the tree to live music. There will be Scandinavian items to view, and crafts will be available for the children to make.
We will celebrate the festival of lights honoring St. Lucia which is an important cultural event in Norway, Sweden and Swedish speaking Finland. The candle crowned Lucia wears a long white gown with a beautiful red sash as she leads a train of girls all in white singing Sankta Lucia as she begins a beloved Christmas concert.
