Event Details

Intimidated by international genealogy research?  Don't worry!  Scandinavian records are some of the most approachable.  Learn how to access and effectively use the “Big Three” – parish, census/clerical surveys, and emigration records for Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.  Don’t know your immigrant’s parish of birth?  We’ll talk about that too.  This highly interactive class will ensure that each participant leaves the session with a research plan specific for their country of origin and what steps they need to research next.

Morelli writes and lectures extensively in the Puget Sound area on subjects related to genealogical records sets and successful research techniques, as well as her German and Scandinavian heritage.  She blogs at www.geanealogycertification.wordpress.com about methodology and problem solving for the “on-the-clock” genealogist.

Class size is limited and registration is required, so please register in advance. Course will be cancelled with full refund if minimum enrollment is not met. No refunds or credit for missed classes. Please contact Michael King, Adult Education Coordinator, for additional information at 206-789-5707, ext 37 or michaelk@nordicmuseum.org.
