Event description

Description

The video documentary, “SCANDALIZE MY NAME” (1998), is narrated by Morgan Freeman and features Harry Belafonte and Ossie Davis among many others. This compelling 54 minute video focuses on the Political Repression by the U.S. State and the Corporate Entertainment Establishment in the 1950’s directed especially against prominent African-American film and theater actors and musicians.

A Discussion will follow the showing led by ICRCM Board Member Richard Koritz whose own family was persecuted during the McCarthy Era.

We anticipate the participation of a small ensemble of A&T University Theatre students whose original work will be in tribute to the Great Paul Robeson.

Free and Open to the Pubilc. Seating is limited must RSVP.
