Join us on June 6 for our annual Celebration of Growth. In place of our quarterly members meeting, we will host a morning to celebrate the growth within the room, and within the region. Scale Up Milwaukee awards will be presented in multiple categories. A keynote presentation by Justin Mortara coupled with multiple growth stories will honor and illustrate the impactful growth that each individual organization has on the greater region, and beyond.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Justin Mortara, President of Mortara Instrument, Inc.

Dr. Justin L. Mortara is the President of Mortara Instrument, Inc. Justin joined the Company in 1998 and held various positions in engineering, marketing and business development before becoming CEO in 2008. Mortara Instrument is a medical device firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with specific focus on diagnostic electrocardiography (ECG) and patient monitoring products. The Company designs, manufactures and distributes its products globally and is the largest US manufacturer of ECG systems worldwide. Justin is the 2nd generation of the Mortara family to lead Mortara Instrument which was founded by his father Dr. David W. Mortara in 1982.

During his tenure, Justin oversaw nearly eight fold growth of Mortara Instrument with sales exceeding $100M in 2016. In 2017 the Company was acquired by Hill-Rom, a leading global medical technology company with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. Justin remains with the Company in his leadership role as President of Mortara Instrument, which is now part of the Front Line Care division of Hill-Rom.

Justin is a native of Milwaukee. He was educated at the University of Chicago where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Physics, and at the University of California at Berkeley where he earned a Ph.D. in Physics. Justin currently serves on the boards of the Cardiac Safety Research Consortium, the MMAC, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Milwaukee Ballet, and the GMC. Justin is fluent in English and Italian. He and his wife Susanna Scripp Mortara live in the city of Milwaukee with their three children.
