Join Student Conservation Association (SCA) and John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, April 20th to clean up the Darby Creek in Philadelphia, PA!

This spring, SCA is partnering with a variety of local organizations in Philadelphia to honor Earth Day. With national support from American Express and Southwest Airlines, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.

In Philadelphia, volunteers will participate in an annual trash clean up of Darby Creek at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge.

WHEN: Saturday, April 20th, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

WHERE: John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, 8601 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19153. Kickoff will take place at the Cusano Environmental Education Center.

WHAT: Volunteers will remove trash and debris from the Delaware River watershed. You can help to improve water quality and protect wildlife habitat on local publiclands. #TrashTag challenge!

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

PROVIDED: Gloves and project supplies will be provided.
