Take apresents seven real places throughout California that depict the state’s diversity of climate, geology, habitats, ecosystems, and wildlife, while exploring current research, contemporary issues of land use, environmental conflict, and conservation projects. In addition we will learn about Bees in the exhibit Tiny Insect, Big Habitat as well as discover the legacy of the Black Panthers as their 50 year anniversary is celebrated.
WHEN: Friday, December 9th 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
WHERE: Oakland Museum of California, 1000 Oak Street, Oakland, CA 94617. OMCA is at 10th Street, situated between downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt. Meet outside at 6:20pm.
TRANSPORTATION: Free, on-street bike parking is available outside the Oak Street entrance to the Museum. OMCA is conveniently located one block from the Lake Merritt BART station (between 8th and 9th streets at Oak Street). OMCA is at the corner of Oak and 10th Street.
