SBA of the Carolinas - Special Needs Law Workshop with Dori Dixon

Join the Spina Bifida Association of the Carolinas for a workshop and Q&A session on special needs law. The workshop will be led by local attorney Dori Dixon and include topics such as ABLE accounts, establishing special needs trusts, and other legal issues as relevant to the Spina Bifida community.
Entry is free and open to the public. For planning purposes, please RSVP for each attendee in your party no later than Wednesday, April 26.

Parking, including handicap parking, is available on site, but due to other library traffic, parking may be limited the day of the event. We encourage you to allow extra time for parking or consider carpooling to the event if possible.
About the speaker:
Dori Dixon is an attorney for Schell Bray PLLC in Chapel Hill, NC. Her practice concentrates on elder law, special needs, and trusts and estates. She counsels clients on issues including special needs planning, guardianships, Medicaid, Veterans benefits, wills, trusts, estate administration, probate, powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, and living wills. Prior to joining Schell Bray, Ms. Dixon was a partner with Wiggen Law Group PLLC in Durham, NC.
In addition to her law practice, Dori is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Estate Planning and the Elder and Special Needs Law Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association. Dori is former Chair of the council for the Elder and Special Needs Law Section and President of the NC Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a frequent speaker on estate planning, elder law and special needs law.
