Description

Join us on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 7:00 pm for a FREE workshop on Helping Individuals with ASD Use Scripts Effectively.

What can you do to help with a student who recites movie lines in response to questions or uses repetitive phrases in seemingly irrelevant ways? Helping students anticipate what may occur during a given activity may improve their ability to appropriately participate in the activity and engage in more appropriate conversations. Scripting is an evidence-based practice that when taught and faded can help students increase conversational skills and participation in activities.

This workshop will explore the use of scripts to support individuals with ASD across a variety of social and academic activities.

This workshop is intended for:

- parents/guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities,
- providers, and/or
- educators.

Presenter: Jackie Neidle, MS, NBCT
