Funny People. Bad Books. This special online edition of Say Wha?! is inspired by Canada Reads, except this is a debate for the WORST book.
About this event
Funny people sharing bad books.
Have you ever read a poorly written novel and thought to yourself, who publishes this crap? Or maybe you were in a thrift store and found a hilariously out of date self-help book. Perhaps you flipped through Tori Spelling’s/ Justin Bieber’s etc. autobiography and guffawed at their life story. Now imagine charming and comedic performers telling you all about these terrible tales. Well, that’s what Say Wha?! is all about.
This special online edition of Say Wha?! is inspired by Canada Reads, except this is a debate for the WORST book. Canada, Don't Read.
5 funny people will choose the worst book they've come across lately and in 8 minutes or less they will state their case on why their book is the most awful book, the book no one should read. In the end it's up to YOU, the audience to choose the worst book of the night.
The winner of Canada, Don't Read will win bragging rights for winning the debate and a charity of their choice will get a donation from ticket sales.

MEDIA
“At $10 at the door, Say Wha?! is a steal for a great night out.” – VanCityBuzz
“But is it real comedy? It most certainly is. People love to laugh and there are many routes to arrive at that destination. Is it traditional? It most certainly is not. It’s not what the average person envisions when they think of comedy. But regular shows would kill for these kinds of laughs.” - Georgia Straight
